THE POWER OF ONE VOTE

Nigerians must know that the Legislature is the home of all Nigerians. Those who enter are chosen by them. If you believe that your representative in the Legislative family is doing well, or that you do not want your representative in the Legislative House to continue, you can only exercise such freedom through the ballot box. In fact, your vote may just make the difference. It has been noted in history that ‘bad leaders are elected by good citizens who do not vote. According to two former Presidents of America Theodore Roosevelt, ‘‘A vote is like a riffle; its usefulness depends on the character of the user;’’ and Abraham Lincoln ‘’the ballot is stronger than the bullet.’’
History has shown what difference your vote can make in an election. Imagine these historical documentations:
In 1649, one vote caused Charles I of England to be executed.
In 1654, one vote gave Oliver Cromwell the control of England.
In 1776, one vote gave America the English Language instead of the German Language.
In 1839, one vote elected Marcus Morton the Governor of the State of Massachusetts.
In 1845, one vote brought Texas into the Union.
In 1868, one vote saved President Andrew Johnson from impeachment.
In 1875, one vote changed France from a Monarchy to a Republic.
In 1876, one vote gave Rutherford B. Hayes the President of the United States.
In 1923, one vote gave Adolf Hitler the leadership of the Nazi Party.
In 1941, one vote preserved the selective service system just twelve weeks before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour.
In 1960, Richard Nixon lost the Presidential Election to John F. Kennedy by less than one vote per precinct in the United States.
Yes, ONE VOTE can make a difference indeed!
With your PERMANENT VOTER’S CARD (PVC), you can make a difference in the coming elections. Go and Register with INEC so that you can have power to choose who represents you in the Legislature or governs you in your State.
My question, how can you change the situation when u don't have a voter's card?
Let's do the needful...
